Tom, I agree completly, well said.
April 07 2006 at 5:51 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThis is too funny.. I administer a fairly large environment with many machines running Windows, and OSX. I personally use OSX every day and I prefer it that way.
OSX is a much nicer OS in many many ways.
Too dumb to use Windows? How could anyone legitimately say something like that. OSX is based on the mach kernel and is so much more complicated and sophisticated than Windows will every dream of being.
There are more capabilities built into OSX than anything Windows has, and that's even if you load up Windows with all kinds of bloatware to try to make it "capable".
Compression tools, archiving tools, networking tools, multitudes of networking protocols built into the OS. A true X11 server, media tools (video, photos, mp3s, etc), user interface "goodies" (widgets, etc), time sync, system log interfaces, good lord, I could go on and on.
None of this exists by default in any meaningful way on windows, and much of it isn't even possible because of "what" Windows is.
Mac users that use OSX because of "what" it is, don't use Windows because it would be DUMB TO USE WINDOWS.
Ignorance is what has gotten Windows to where it is today.
studies have shown that people making emotional decisions act the level of a 4 year old not 8

You're just too dumb, perhaps?
I had forgotten how long it takes to actually install XP. Imagine doing that 2 or 3 times a year to get your computer running well again. No thanks.

adric_boom.... ur funny and im gonna laugh so hard when MAC OS get hit by viruses and hackers like never be fore and you will realize how stupid you really are for dissing XP. Apple realized in order to be as fast as PCs.. they needed to switch to INTEL... FINALLY. Of course windows will just always be more expandable, running windows on a mac would be dumb..if u do that there wont be any less problems..its gonna be the same type of hardware... so many more problems are gonna arise on the mac.. and you have no idea whats gonna hit you in the world of third party software....
FACE IT, YOUR JUST TOO DUMB TO USE WINDOWS..
sry but i had to vent, cuz im allergic to apple freaks who dont know whats gonna hit em.
