It would seem that Apple's newest advertising campaign is called 'Get a Mac.' There is a new section of Apple's website entirely devoted to this (http://www.apple.com/getamac). There Apple lists a number of reasons why you should get a Mac:
Interestingly the site also debunks the usual arguments about not getting a Mac, which include:
- Yes, Macs run Office
- No, Mac aren't slow (thanks to Intel!)
- Your old printer and other peripherals will work

the worst thing that make me hate mac fan boy is that their claim of "macs don't crash"... i switched to the mac platform 2 years ago with a 15" powerbook, (10.3 panther), and i get to kernal panics in day one...
com'on ... every computer system crashes, it just need some more geeks to try to tweak it. obviously most geeks atm are PC users, but when mac become popular, you will have all that kind of things like iDefrag ...
btw... i'm bit confused and was told with different versions of answers about the disk defrags of mac os x:
1. mac os x defrags itself automatically in background
2. there's no fragmentations under os x due to the HFS+ file system
3. fragmentations do not matters for macs, and defrag can be dangrous
damn which one is true?

// Defrag is done on the fly for files under 20MB... if you deal with files larger than that fragmenting may happen. It's not really needed, but if you feel like it there are programs that defrag your mac.

Kris,
Check out iVisit (http://www.ivisit.com/). Its a cross platform video conferencing tool and it works great. Mostly importantly, its free! Granted, I haven't tested it on my Macbook Pro, but it worked great on my 12" PB.

Anybody else think it's nice to see Apple marketing something other than the iPod or iTMS?

Kris, try Sightspeed for Mac/PC video chats.
I tried iChat, iVisit, and Sightspeed. Windows AIM clients had trouble with sending audio unless you use iVisit or SightSpeed. Sightspeed had better video and interface(plus it's universal).

BTW, if SAFT's "block ad/banners" feature is enabled, you won't see the View the ads link.
My favorite is Network.
Does anyone that speaks japanese know what the digital camera woman says just before the PC says Bonjourno? Was she saying what the photograph was or was she making a wisecrack at the PC?
'nay nay nay talon so nu kukurots' ?

Well, Klemens, you're apparently an Ass. Your broad assumption recalls that famous phrase. You know the one, right? About those who assume...? :/

Well, Klemens, I'm Australian, but I must be dumb too because I don't get what you're getting at. Aren't you just illustrating Aaron's point that the PC messed it up?

Who's dumb? It's spelled "buongiorno" and it translates to (get this) "Good morning!" By a staggering coincidence, it shares its provenance and English translation with the French word "bonjour". Both words are used colloquially to mean, "Hello".
Considering that ZeroConf...I mean, Rendezvous...argh, I MEAN Bonjour (stupid name anyway) is available for Windows, I really doubt this was deliberately meant to show Windows as being inept at networking. I, ah, didn't really understand the spot's purpose. I've never had any trouble at all networking Windows boxen or installing digital cameras for that matter. I never even knew cameras NEEDED special drivers. Guess you learn something every day, huh?
As for what the Japanese lady says, she said (more or less), "Hey, who's that guy? Doesn't he look a little like an otaku?"

Macs don't crash?
I got an intel mac mini about 2 weeks ago and it crashed a few times. 2 of them where with Front Row and one with a CD.
Can anyone tell me why? I would really like a Front Row update or something that will keep it from crashing.
