This isn't exactly Mac news, but hey we Mac users are known for paying a premium for industrial design, and well need more outlets. The PowerSquid Surge protector seems like the ideal solution, or is it?

Gregory Ng, reviewing it for Apple Matters, thinks it is and not just because of its unique looks. This thing will protect your equipment against a variety of surges, and isn't your Mac's safety worth a few bucks extra?

I have one of the cheapo $15 versions that I got a few months ago--I am going to look for the surge protector version too! Everything has a brick or a wierdly shaped charger these days...

picked up a couple of these when I saw them in the hardware section at wally world the other day (by the extension cables) - they work great! well worth the $15/ea I spent.

That is a pretty nice design actually. I have a surge protector that was designed with power bricks in mind but I still have a power brick that blocks multiple sockets (stupid HP printer). With this design that wouldn't be a problem.
