iPod cassette holder

Make has the perfect use for all those old cassette holders you have cluttering up the place. Though this still doesn't help me get rid of all my Betamax tapes.

They are actually called "Norelco boxes," fwiw. No doubt, some ancient Royal Philips Electronics history there.

How is the iPod holding a cassette?
Should be "Cassette case iPod holder" I think.
"Pure genius" until such time as you want to plug your dock cable or headphones into your iPod with Video.

Mephistophelian: agreed on the dock cable, but the headphone jack is at the top.

_That_ is a "case hack?"
Yeah. Right.
No more than shaving is a "face hack."

tried this with my 60GB...didn't work..obviously.
i do have the invisibleshield..best iPod accessory ever. i usually just keep it in my pocket or toss it in my bag. still looks brand new AND fits in the dock.

I think this falls under "why did someone not think of it before" category..

um, this is stupid. I can stick my ipod is an old pack of cigarettes, but it's not gonna make news.

I guess if you have one laying around try it, but there already are iPod cases with kickstands that will hold your ipod up that also offer protection for your ipod.

great idea. We just tried a DV-mini tape holder. Less wide than regulare music tape holders, so it's a perfect fit for the 5G iPod 30GB!

This may seem pretty lame, but the fact is that I don't think there are any products out there that fill this niche at the moment. A friend of mine has a nice stand for his iPod that allows the dock cable to be plugged in, but it's no longer in production. The only problem here is that I haven't actually seen an audio tape in at least a good five years.

FWIW, worked great with my iPod Mini.
Put it in on it's side, and you can charge it too.
