Quicktime 7.1

Fire up Software Update, kids, Apple has just released Quicktime 7.1. This update 'delivers numerous important bug fixes and addresses critical security issues.' It is highly recommended for all Quicktime users (and yes, there is a Windows version available as well).

It clocks in at 51 megs (on my G4 Mac mini).

Be careful - upgrading to QT 7.1 kills the functionality of the Popwire WMV-9 components, so if you like watching WMVs in native Quicktime, you will be SOL. Flip4Mac components still work, under a Rosetta QT of course.

Watch out!
After doing the 3 updates on my Macbook I got kernel panics upon restart. Every time I attempted to boot I'd get a panic. Finally after maybe 4 restarts it booted without a panic. Not fun.
