Freehold, NJ Apple Store opens this weekend

Attention, New Jersey: Apple Store Freehold Raceway will open this Saturday, May 27th at 10:00 AM. This store is located at 3710 Route 9 South in Freehold, near the Center Court next to The Limited and Bath & Body Works. You can find complete travel directions here.

As usual, the first 1000 visitors will be rewarded with commemorative t-shirts. Visitors can also enter to win the "Grand Opening Sweepstakes," which will award one winner with an iMac, an iPod nano, a Canon digital camera, a Sony Handycam CCD-TRV138, and an HP inkjet printer.

I just got home a little while ago from the opening. I've posted pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/axg4903/sets/72157594146718166/

The mall was totally not ready for the hordes of people that decended upon them. We called earlier in the week and they said they weren't setting up anything special. I saw them hurriedly roping off and extending the queue with yellow Caution tape. It was my first opening and I enjoyed it immensely. Now I have a reason to visit my parents more often....

Security at the Freehold Mall loves to descend upon people with cameras like the wrath of God, smiting them and cursing their children unto the seventh generation; I wonder how they're going to deal with an Apple Store opening? :)

I will be there as well. This will be my 14th opening. I was just at the NYC opening last week and the Ardmore, PA one the following. I am getting tired. I will be there with my family and I do a podcast, so be prepared to talk, or just look cute, whatever you are best at.
