I can tell how impressed you are by the product by the word count of the post: 55.
That's less than the previous post about StevieJ's clothing: 129 words!

I think we may just have found something uglier than that SanDisk MP3 player.

To me it looks like a minature (albiet uglier) iPod. So basically you're using an iPod as a remote control for an ipod!

while its nice to see a display on a peripheral,
it would be nice if a /remote/ didnt occupy the same amount of space as the ipod or be 1.5oz HEAVIER

How useful, a remote for a device that is tethered to your ears by approx. 3 ft of wire.

You know what scares me is not that someone came up with this idea but that some respectable individual sitting in a corporation looked at that hapless inventor and said "by god! A remote for something already tiny! You've GOT IT!"

This appears to be just the ABT iJet 2-way, announced months and months ago. It does have some uses, since the remote is weather-resistant (I assume, all other ABT iJet products are), and RF. I've had my eye on this for use in the car as a substitute for the Harmon Kardon Drive + Play and to take snowboarding.
