Details of upcoming Thunderbird 2.0 release

New features at the top of my list are message tagging, a tabbed message viewer and a built-in notification system. I'd be happy if they'd just fix the mac build so that the backspace works as a delete key on non text editing fields like it does in every single other mac application... The bug report for that has been open for over 4 years now...

Sure would be nice if the fixed the spam filtering and random crashes, too.

Bah. Opera's M2 has had all that and much more for several years. It would be nice if the Mozilla devs could get their own ideas at some point instead of continually ripping off Opera.

When are they gonna make the Mac OS X version *NOT* use their shitty address book and their app-specific password manager? They *NEED* to use Keychain and Apple AddressBook.

All I really want is the ability to talk to the AddressBook and Calendar, or better interoperability with iSync and Mozilla's own Addressbook/Calendar.
