GROSX - Growl notifications of Google Reader headlines
Growl is one of our favorite little Mac OS X notification addons here at TUAW, and it's always nice see more apps and services hopping on the bandwagon. Take GROSX, for instance: a Growl notifier app for Google Reader (one of my favorite online newsreaders) that lets you know when new headlines are waiting for you. If you keep more than just a few news feeds in Google Reader and don't want to get slammed with alerts, you can filter by tag.You can thank Eli Dourado for this handy Growl + Google Reader integration, as I don't even see a donation link for his slick, open source work.

Well, another tool to kill productivity, concentration and any sensible use of computer. Look at the phrase "new headlines are waiting for you"—who is waiting for whom? I'm here the boss, not new headlines!
I believe in switching off email notifications and similar stuff and would consider anything what is speaking when it's not asked to be the wrong thing. "Got ADHD in 21 days". :-)
