Mac mini in a Prius
I'm not much of a car guy, in fact I don't even have a drivers license (hey, I live in downtown Philly so I don't need a car), so it takes a lot to get me excited about cars. This Prius has overcome my apathy towards cars. A clever person has loaded their Prius with a Mac mini. We have seen such carputers before, but this is a particularly slick integration. A touch screen and Front Row work side by side to impress even the most jaded of passengers.
Best of all? There are videos of it in action on the owner's website. Almost makes me want to get a car. Almost.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

Kind of a waste of a mac mini when an ipod video will do the same thing...

Scott, when I lived City Center (14th and Lombard, then across from Rittenhouse Square) a car was actually an impediment because of the paucity of parking. But, if you ever more to the suburbs in any city, especially one that doesn't have mass transit, you will have to bite the. . . tire.
I'm skeptical about in car computers because if people can't be trusted to talk on cellphones and drive, I doubt they will resist the temptation to watch and or interact with the computer and drive.

Ahh, Mac Diva, you used to live in my neighborhood! Yeah, if I ever move out of the city (and not into another downtown area) I will need to learn how to drive, however, I have avoided pretty well so far.

Besides navigation based advantages (maps, security tracking etc), I wonder what the next 'big' feature will be with the addition of a computer in a car.

Cars are unfortunately a necessary evil for many of us. I am thankful that I can walk to work.
And a MacMini & Prius - has to be cool!

Alex, I'm not saying people shouldn't have a car in Center City, I'm just saying I feel no pressing need to have one. I don't even have a bike!

I was just kidding, everyone can do whatever they like. Oh and to make things worse, I walk to work too.

However, I am amazed at how you can live in philly and not have a car, and more a license...I'm not sure I know anyone like that. And Scott, are you in law school or were in law school...I guess if you're here just for school, I could see being without a car.

I'm planning on mounting a forward and a rear-view iSight in my car's body kit
I will be able to switch between the camera's when parking or reversing.
I can also record all the action when racing, getting pulled over and beat by the police.
See you on CNN. :)
