DON'T USE PROCRASTINATR
UPDATE: A commenter on this post has published a fix for the Procrastinatr damage which I've tested multiple times. We have a new post here with instructions and a download.TUAW readers: I sincerely apologize for the damage that Procrastinatr did to iCal. I didn't notice any discrepancies in my calendar after trying this out (as almost all of my calendars are synced from Google Calendar), but please know that I have learned my lesson, and I will take much better care in the future before posting anything like this again.
One commenter has created an AppleScript that supposedly fixes the problem, which we are testing (and re-testing) right now. Again, please accept my sincerest apologies, and we will update as soon as we learn anything more.
If you're feeling overwhelmed from the onslaught of YouTube forwards, newsreader headlines, Miniclip games and software demos we tirelessly blog for you, Procrastinatr just might be your solution. Even though it's only a 0.8b version, this handy little app can help you make molehills out of mountains and start managing your time again.
Procrastinatr is provided free of charge from Procrastinatr.com.

has anyone got this to work? I can't seem to figure out what it is supposed to do. I launch Procratinatr and all it does is spin the monocrome loading icon..... endlessly.

There's a little bit of fine print in the read me that tells you exactly what it's doing... this is kinda funny

Dick heads!...don't bother downloading or running what is likely the biggest practical joke to ever be played on incessant type A personalities. Procrastinatr adds one week to every event and to-do deadline in your iCal. It can only be undone by an undo to every event and to-do (yes, individually). It will definitely f*ck up your day, week, month, etc.

Uhm, this is more of a "virus." This just totally hosed my calendar. I'd strongly suggest pulling this post.

It is pretty irresponsible to post this without a warning. (Even with the small grey print in the README).

Funny, and potentially very annoying. Make sure you read that fine print!

Headline should read:
***DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND USE THIS IF YOU VALUE YOUR iCAL EVENTS!***
Fine Print:
[*All Procrastinatr does is add a week to the deadlines of every event and to-do on your calendars. If this is not your desired result, command-z is your friend, but must be used separately for each event and to-do. Better yet, just don't run this program.]
Dammit! This is sure way to **** up your iCal events! I'll admit I (stupidly) trust software downloads/mentions from TUAW... last time ever.
Would be nice to have given us a heads up. I thought this was a real app, not a chincy script that ruins my iCal! All four calendars are jacked up including US Holidays. WTF???
You TUAW bloggers are getting lazy and sloppy. You grab anything that looks like "news" and post it without even testing it.
Ticked off.

Damnit! Yea, type 'A' personality here, with minor ADD...thought this would *better* help me organize the final papers that I have to write for a graduate class -- um, NO. it completely redesigned my calendar - including the iCal downloadable Red Sox Calendar - on its own, and I could do nothing to stop it. You need to take this program down, or at least note the negative comments!

Not funny... but I _always_ do a backup before running anything that could possibly touch my calendar, contacts or Email... so I was back in a second. However, this sort of thing does not bode well for TUAW... quadruple shame on you guys. And it isn't even April 1st

Stupidly no back-up made and closed iCal afterwards so cannot undo. My entire back catalogue and pending events this year are now f*cked. I don't know when anything is happening! Thanks a f*cking bunch you irresponsible morons!

I only keep a couple things on my iCal, and yeah this got to them too. Still not "funny" enough to overlook what happened.
To be fair, the site DOES say to read the read me before running it. We all should have checked it out first. TUAW too, before posting it to a well-read community.

For those of you whose b-day calendars got messed up like mine: delete it, and then go to preferences and re-enable the b-day calendar. all's good. Now to check everything else. Argh!!!

Glad I read the comments here before I tried this. This has to be the single biggest boneheaded mean spirited thing TUAW has ever done. David you are an A #1 *sshole for not at least tagging this as humor. What a jerk. Mike
