Adobe Releases Flash Player 9 beta for Intel Macs
When Adobe released only the PPC version of Flash Player 9 the other day, some people criticized Adobe for not simultaneously releasing an Intel-enabled version as well. Richard Brownell points us today to a post by Emmy Huang, the product manager for Adobe Flash Player telling us that the public beta release of Adobe Flash Player 9 for Intel Macs is ready. As always, be sure to read the readme and watch for bugs. This is still in beta.

Why are updates nice? I think its nice when a software is so bugfree that I don't have to update a lot...

Why is there a blog post for every single software release for Intel? I'd bet more than half of the blog posts in the last few months have been nothing but software update notices.

Darn. I was hoping this would fix the problems with some of the Flash games my son likes to play. Just installed the beta and I still have run Safari in Rosetta mode in order to get his games to work.

Well, I installed it, and thought perhaps adobe would fix the biggest problem with Flash on OS X. That is, whenever the window playing the flash movie loses focus, the movie turns to sh!t. Well, I am here to confirm, this is still an issue.
