I sure hope they clean up after themselves. Computer parts are toxic; many of the semiconductors are doped with arsenic, the connecting solder often contains led, and besides that, the plastic won't biodegrade.
Really, this whole thing is rather shameful. He kept his half of the deal; he blew up his computer. Now, recycle the parts, at least!
@18: yeah, me too, because
a) drunk people operating firearms and explosives get jailed instantly.
b) we have glases to drink beer out of.
c) we have beer.

I promise that Tannerite is WAY more exciting in person than can be captured on the video. The shockwave is actually palpable as it rolls past you.
vive l'amérique ! aie aie aie, y'en a c'est des sauvages...
i second this motion : "So... Who wants to start donating money to me so I can get a MacBook Pro? Instead of blowing up my iBook G4, I'll donate it to a local school, then blow up a crappy old PC...Which for environmental reasons will just be an old ATX case filled with a few bricks of firecrackers all wired together."
I totally agree with posts 12 and 13.
Brainless people. Destroying things is a lot fun for them. What about donating a computer like that for a school in Iraq, instead of bombarding them? (and destroying a computer)
Of course, they drive a Hummer. What can you expect from them? Those are the kind of people who vote for Bush.
The web site is www.helpmegetag5.com. The introduction video explains the idea even more.
