Apple gives up on Asteroid suit
Remember that rumored Firewire breakout box (codename: Asteroid) for Garageband that was leaked to a few websites? You know, the one that Apple decided was important enough to sue said bloggers to find out who their sources were? Ahh, I thought you would.Apple won the first ruling which would have made the websites turn over their sources, if said websites hadn't won the appeal. Apple has decided that it isn't worth their time to try and appeal that appeal, and so it looks like the bloggers won.
Finally, I can safely blog about all the inside Apple information I have.... so any Apple employees want to give me any dirt?

Apple realized they pursued the wrong angle on this ... instead of going after Jason O Grady ... they should have gone drectly after the ISP ... but first they should have (easily) shown the court that the information was trade secret and confidential (as it was marked) and therefore not able to be disseminated by ANY journalist whether online or off.

iFrame like SubGenius suggested, with wifi compatibility so you can stream your pictures to the thing....
GarageBand controller, it'll be very good and easy to use since Apple has the expertise in making easy to use stuff
And maybe a touch sensitive cinema display, similar to the one that wacom has, and have it cheaper than wacom's
billy k-
probably... but remember the m-audio thing is just a controller, not an interface with inputs.
.....just get an mbox everyone
Last time I'm ever gonna say this...
Asteroid = iControl. Apple - for whatever reasons - let m-audio make it instead.
SubGenius, that is a cool concept, but I doubt you have any proof. Also, for iPhoto, wouldn't be better for iPhoto to have a camera (hopefully better than the Quick pix). Also, what would iWeb have?
Just some ideas
Well it should keep staffers scared for a little while.

Apple is working on companion products for it's iLife suite.
iTunes => iPod (but you knew that already)
iMovie => iCam (compact photo/video camera with internal hard drive)
iPhoto => iFrame (display your photos and videos)
GarageBand => Midi Keyboard and Contol Surface
