Griffin introduces line of iPod cases

Griffin Technology, the company that just can't stop making iPod products, announced 3 new iPod case lines (and 1 that's been around for a bit). Pictured above is the Trio for the iPod nano. $24.99 gets you a nano case with two interchangeable covers (hence the name).

Griffin is also offering the Tempo which is an armband that can hold either a full sized iPod or a nano for $24.99. The Vizor is a leather case designed for a full sized iPod that has a flip cover and a clip for $24.99 (I'm noticing a trend). Finally, the iClear, which Griffin has been offering for awhile, is a transparent polycarbonate case for the shuffle, nano, or full sized iPod that protects the iPod but still allows you to see it and access all of its controls for $19.99.

We can always use more cases, just not the same old designs.

Come up with something fresh if you want to get into the case market.

I use the iClear- no strange patterns on the screen.

However, it doesn't have ports to access the business pieces of the nano while its inside the case: you can plug in your headphones, of course, but you can't transfer music or access the hold feature while it's tucked safely away inside the case.

Taking it out and putting it back in isn't such a big deal: the backing slides on and off and hasn't scratched my nano yet. Plus, its clear all the way around: there are no frosted bits that make (especially the black nano) look oddly colored.

I love it and would give it 5 stars if it had a way to access the hold button and the data cable slot while it was in the case: otherwise its great.

I am glad they are spending their time on something we all need: more iPod cases. I pre-oreded a TuneCenter on April 6th. I wonder when they are finally going to get that thing out the door?

Has anyone used the iClear before? I had a similar one from Target - but it caused an odd moiré pattern on the screen.
