OmniPlan
Well, the cat's out of the bag folks. OmniPlan is the name of that now not-so-super-secret new piece of software from Omni Group. As the name oh-so-subtly suggests, OmniPlan does project planning, complete with Gant charts and whatever else you project planning people do. I'm not quite sure what all of the features do, as I have zero background in project planning, but it's sure pretty!OmniPlan has been in private beta for about a week, and a public beta will be released on Wednesday.

Damn, where was this back in December during my Process Analysis class?
Pretty much everything the Omni Group puts out rocks. They were the company that really sold me on the concept of quality OS X software. I'm sure this one won't dissappoint.

I am sure that dan meant to write: "Gantt charts". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gantt_chart

This is pretty exciting; OmniGroup makes solid apps so I suspect that this one will be the same. After seeing how amazing they made OmniOutliner Pro, I'm looking forward to this one.

Cool, that's one less PC app I need: MS Project. That's one less reason to dual boot, 2 more to go: MS Money

Joshua,
I assume you know of Quicken, and that you don't like it. You might like iBank, by Iggsoft.

I've been test-driving it, and enjoying it. Good luck.

Woohoo, now I don't have to use MS Project anymore. Too bad this didn't come out a few months ago so I could've used it for my Senoir Design class..oh well. The heat exchanger is getting built without it hehe.

I'm with SharedPlan Software. We have had two versions of our project planning software, SharedPlan Personal and Pro Editions, available for over a year. Both operate on Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
We recently combined Personal Edition with an online, public plan repository and discussion forum to make SharedPlan OpenPlanning. Better yet, we made OpenPlanning free of charge (forever).
Feel free to check them out (Pro has a 7-day free trial) at www.sharedplan.com.
