Bluetooth Mighty Mouse coming to a Mac near you

Ahh, thank goodness for the FCC. You see, one must get approval from the FCC before releasing anything with wireless technology in it, such as... oh let's say a Bluetooth Mighty Mouse. Pictured above you see a prototype for a cordless, Bluetooth Might Mouse from everyone's favorite Cupertino computer company.
The manual makes note that the M6 (that's its super secret code name) ships with 2 non-rechargeable AA batteries. Other than that there aren't any new features to write home about.

I love the Mighty Mouse!
I have no problems at all with it. The cord is just right in conjunction with my 12" Powerbook. When I'm at my desk and have my Powerbook on a stand, I just add an extender.
I generally keep my hands clean, so I don't have problems with a gunked up mouse.
I've gotten rid of all my Logitech equipment. Bring on the BT Mighty Mouse.
As of 8:10 Central Time, Apple had the Bluetooth Mighty Mouse on their home page. Quick release after the leak. Uses either one or two AA batteries. :(

Everyone I talk to about switching to a Mac, I have to tell to make sure to buy a USB mouse or trackball they like to go with it, because the mouse Apple ships with a new Mac sucks.
I like that Apple tries wild, "out-there" designs. When they work, like all the iMac models, it's great. When they don't, like every mouse they've ever made, they should ADMIT IT and try something different. Take credit for the success, but acknowledge and fix the failures. Sometimes I think that Jobs's ego will bury the company.
Apple has released the BT MM

besides the fact my bt mouse normally sits to the side with dead batteries.. it would be nice if they had internal rechargable batteries with a usb cord to recharge...
or will this lead to a battery issue a few months after purchasing?
however i long for a scroll wheel, or a laser beam which senses when my eyes get to the bottom of the page and scrolls accordingly (patient pending, copyright 2006-infinity and beyond!)
Yep seems you either love it or hate it.
I really like it, but would have to fall short of loving it.
My side buttons are too sensitive and I continually accidentally press them, so had to turn them off. Other than that, very easy to use - except if you want to play games. Day to day right clicking where you have to lift your left finger off the other side is bearable, but you can not for example, hold down the middle button (zoom on a rifle scope), and then press fire while zoomed - as there is only one 'rocker' button on the whole mouse...

What do you mean there aren't any new features? It's a laser mouse!!!!!
I have the mighty mouse and it is a really ordinary mouse, when is apple going to do its own 2 button mouse?
I love my mighty mouse. The scroll wheel does sometimes not move so smoothly....so I do the cleaning routine prescribed by apple. You turn it upside down and roll it around pressing on the little button scroll thingy. Anyway, reading this thread made me laugh. I use the right click on scroll thing constantly but I forgot there were side buttons! I obviously don't use them.
I have a mac mini and use my old apple mouse there since I already had it. I can't tell you how annoying it is NOT to have the scroll wheel and right click when using it, especially since I'm used to mighty mouse and it feels the same.
The damn cord on the mighty mouse is too short. It's been a problem from the beginning. I use a 30" cinema display (awesome) and even with plugging the mouse into the back of that...it's just too short to reach where I sit at my desk. It works...but I'm always running out of cord or it goes over the keyboard. Wireless will be pleasure!
What I really want is bluetooth trackball. I hate having to move the mouse across the stuff on my desk (paperwork) and it forces me to keep that area available to use the mouse. I vote for apple bluetooth trackball.
I always disable the side buttons. I keep pressing them accidentally, which is incredibly annoying. If they removed the buttons from the next Mighty Mouse, I certainly wouldn't miss them.
