mira 1.1

Twistesd Melon has just released mira 1.1, their application that makes your Apple Remote do more than just control Front Row. mira is Systems Preference that boosts your Remote by making it able to launch applications, scripts, and Front Row. Most popular apps already have a mira profile so you can control them right from the box.
mira costs $16 and requires OS X 10.4 or higher.

Just a few small corrections to the post... mira is only $16 and in addition to the features mentioned, it can also be used to send keystrokes to the current or any background application, supports its own stylish large on-screen menus, Mac OS Application Switcher as well as a number of system actions like Volume and Expose.
It also supports Multi Actions which give you different commands for short and long press of the button as well as being able to detect an application's state, providing different commands for each detected state.
Lastly, it works with any application on your Mac. You can add new settings for any application within seconds.

Sounds promising, but I think I'll stick with Remote Buddy for now like Andy mentioned.
