Fake Leopard screenshot winner

WWDC is mere weeks away and Mac geeks the world round can hardly wait to get a taste of that sweet, sweet Leopard. To hold you over I offer you the winners of PhillRyu.com's Fake Leopard screenshot contest. First place winner Eric Patterson (one of his screenshots can be seen above) wants to be able to preview lots more file types in the Finder, as well as banish Brushed Metal (something that I bet will be done in Leopard).
Check out all the winners and the judge's commentary, you'll be glad you did.

chris, he doesn't just "like" asian women... why don't we take a look inside his porn folder...

July 27 2006 at 10:19 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyC. Hwang: That's the big question. Nobody knows how revolutionary it will be. I am guessing it will be bigger than the Tiger release because they have taken more time with it and it's release coincides with Vista and that adds an extra level of pressure.
PS. Why does John get a star for that dumbass remark? I hate it when people throw out jokes about something as serious as pedophilia.
And the chances of Leopard being anything this revolutionary or spectacular is...?
Really, is Leopard going to be a jump like from XP to Vista or just another Mac OS X .1 update?
If you're going to make fun of something, at least try saying it properly when you do.

July 27 2006 at 6:35 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyKevin, so it's porn just because there are asian women in the screenshots? Most of the videos are of jpop (japanese pop) stars. Last time I checked, that would not be considered porn. He obviously likes asian music and I assume asian women.
July 27 2006 at 5:57 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyJust wanted to agree with #9 -- I'm a big fan of brushed metal, actually. I feel like I'm in this ghettoized minority, since I hear so much hostility towards brushed metal. Has anyone ever done a poll about the issue? I just wonder if my perception is a reality or simply fueled by vocal people on the other side of the fence.
And really, isn't it time for an entire GUI overhaul for the OS? The thing that bothers me most is the Aqua scrollbar, which I find clashes with both the look of iTunes and brushed metal. I'm tired of this, and would like to see a coherent, unified look -- even if it means something totally different. I'm sure I'm not the first to say this (nor probably the last, alas).
