WWDC 2006 Keynote: To Chatcast or not to Chatcast
Alright, folks, as you know we will be offering a straightforward play by play of Steve's keynote today, but there is a TUAW tradition that I haven't mentioned yet: the infamous TUAW Chatcast! It is traditional for the TUAW bloggers to get together in a chat room and talk about the announcements as they happen, we then post that chat transcript for all to see (examples here and here). This gives a nice counterpoint to the more organized presentation that we will also be doing.
What say you, readers, should we continue this fine tradition? Sound off in the comments, and remember that bloggers have feelings too.

Oooh! I wanna have a chatcast! It's my first year as a TUAWer around WWDC time and I'm way excited. I actually am sick though. Oh, and if it's IRC I'm gonna need a client.. any good freeware suggs.?

August 07 2006 at 12:10 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyOh, and for those who may think the chatcast is the only way for a dialup-ridden or network-heavy user to get the news: TUAW linked to the excellent http://www.macrumorslive.com/web/ earlier, and it uses Ajax to pull in only the newest updates, rather than refresh the entire page. You won't miss anything by more than a few seconds, and it'll be far more organized.
