Apple has updated Boot Camp to version 1.1 with a number of new enhancements and compatibility fixes, including:- Support for the latest Intel-based Macintosh computers (I'm assuming this means the Mac Pros)
- Easier partitioning using presets for popular sizes
- Ability to install Windows XP on any internal disk
- iSight camera support
- Support for built-in microphones
- Right-click when pressing the right-hand Apple key on Apple keyboards
- Improved Apple keyboard support including Delete, PrintScreen, NumLock, and ScrollLock keys
This might be a long shot, but I wonder if this update might make running Vista - either in its current version or the upcoming RC1 - easier. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks Blair!

It's also increased in size quite dramatically (85MB > 202MB)

I really hope that "iSight camera support" includes the old external iSight and not just the built-in iSight. Who wants to give it a shot?

Does this update support tri-booting (Mac OS X, Windows XP, and Linux)?
I know that its possible to tri boot having BootCamp boot either Mac OS X or Windows XP and then adding Linux as a boot option into NTLDR.
I'm just wondering if Apple has (or will) allow for selecting more than one OS from BootCamp. Having a MacBook that could boot Mac OS X, Windows or Linux would be quite sweet.

So this will allow using any Windows based video chat client and webcam with the MacBook's built-in camera?
Sweet!

I have an existing partition of Windows XP, and basically just loaded up BootCamp (as it installs into Applications > Utilities) which replaces the previous BootCamp.app directory with new CD image, etc. I then burned a NEW drivers disk, rebooted to Windows, and the new CDs work flawlessly. Even the iSight works through "My Computer" click through.

Has anyone come up with a good way to increase the size of a Windows partition once it's been initially set with Boot Camp?

@13:
You can extract the drivers only from windows XP (in any computer) running the Autorun file with a special instruction, but I don't remember how you do it (I did it once and I read the instructions for it in a web page) .. let me investigate

There you go 13!
https://blogs.msdn.com/hans_vb/archive/2006/06/06/619262.aspx
On a Windows XP Just open the command line utility (run, cmd) and execute the command:
“Install Macintosh Drivers for Windows XP.exe” /A /v
You can then choose an installation where the drivers will be unpacked. Executing this command won’t actually install the drivers which is great since you can then copy the files onto a thumbdrive and copy them to your Vista installation on your Mac.
In the folder you copied you find a Program Files and a System32 folder.
On those folders you will find the drivers!
Now, I recommend that when running boot camp for the creation of the CD yo plug your firewire isight so it gets recognized and the driver is copied to the cd.. then share with us!

Ok, I got everything extraxted. I tried to update my isight drivers, but no luck. Windows said these drivers weren't for my hardware. I dont know if I'm doing anything wrong. If I am, I'm sure someone will figure it out in a day or two. Funny, because the install pdf says support for isight camera*s*

I've converted to Parallels almost 2 weeks ago & updated my RAM to 2gbs. That configuration on my Mac Book Pro is handling things very well. Bootcamp was definately working for me but since I switched to Parallels I think it runs just as well for my needs (which are VERY simple).
Two awesome options to run Windows.

#18.- What PC model are you trying to install your isight on?
From MyComputer/Properties/Device Manager you should be able to see a firewire device (or a new unknown device), then you should try "Update Driver" and select the appropiate driver from the extracted drivr files..
Not sure if windows xp device manager can see a firewire device..
I'm not near my Sony Vaio desktop but I'll try tomorrow.. good luck!
