Logic Pro and Express updated to 7.2.2

The updates just keep coming. Today Apple has updated both Logic Pro and Logic Express to 7.2.2. Logic is Apple's professional music composition program (think Final Cut Pro and Express for music).

New in Logic Pro is improved compatibility with the Mac Pro and optimized support for the built-in audio ports. Logic Express delivers the same enhancements on the Mac Pro.

I had the same problem. I fixed it after updating to 7.2.3. I'm not sure if the update did it or detecting fine point in Logic-Preferences-Audio-Drivers-CoreAudio: it would help to relabel "Built-in Output" as "Built-in SPEAKER Output". I think the default was the plain Built in Output...i.e. playing thru the built in speaker out.

A nice 1.5 hour "investment." Although some of it was a necessary anyway, i.e. running Logic updaters twice (from 7.2.0 to 7.2.1 then 7.2.1 to 7.2.3)...still at least half that time troubleshooting was a pure waste.

Logic had me tearing my hair out yesterday as I tried to get it to ouput to a Mac Pro's rear line-out. No matter what I did it wouldn't see the port but Garageband, iTunes and the system would. Thankfully this update is saving my receeding hairline.
