Found Footage: Steve Jobs 1984 keynote
Being that this is TUAW and we're hounds for this stuff, I'm sure we've come across this footage some time ago, but I came up empty handed while traversing our archives, and even Google found nothing, so here we go: it's a blast from the past boys and girls - excerpts from Steve Jobs' 1984 keynote. Watch as Steve razzles and dazzles the audience with new Mac features which, at the time, were groundbreaking. Also note his affinity for just a hint of drama that you can still see on stage today, despite rumors to the contrary. Enjoy.

This isn't a keynote. Its the Apple shareholders meeting which happened a few days before the SuperBowl. I think I've had this clip for a couple of years now.

Now, that doesn't make any sense at all. How could it be before the SuperBowl, if the SuperBowl ad was advertising the future release of the Macintosh (which was done at the shareholders' meeting)?
Truth be told, the meeting / Macintosh release was on January 24th, while the SuperBowl was on January 22nd. So the dates were close, but the other way around. The ad was a teaser-trailer of sorts.

All you have to do is google the words Apple Videos and it (usually) results as the #2 hit.
Downloading and archiving is way more fun. Don't you agree?
