MondoMouse
MondoMouse says it 'gives your mouse super powers.' That's quite a claim, and while I'm not sure if my mouse is super powered with this app, it certainly is more powerful. MondoMouse allows you to resize and move windows that are currently in the background. It also displays a text tip describing what the window you are hovering over is (much like Expose).MondoMouse costs $14.95 and there is a 30 day demo.

hmm.. i've seen that logo, haven't I? Oh yes that was on http://aqua-soft.org/

Probably an innocent mistake but they should change the future icon.
I don't want to be "quick to dismiss apps" or anything, but GeekBind does everything that this app does and more. Plus it's free. However, it seems to be PPC only.

what would make this even better is a way to do the mousetrails thing. Sometimes I can't find my cursor/pointer on my 20 inch screen, I can only imagine how long it takes to find it on a 30 inch screen...
...yes, I'm getting old.
I think the point is that MondoMouse makes it easy to do these operations on any window, regardless of whether its resize/drag/etc regions happen to be visible (or even exist).
Why are TUAW commenters so quick to dismiss apps? It doesn't really help anybody for you to proclaim your sour impressions of an app that might very well prove useful to somebody else.
If you do it that way you still have to grab the title bar to move, or the resize handle in the lower-right corner to resize. With MondoMouse your mouse pointer can be anywhere over the window. What you're describing is not the same thing as what MondoMouse does, and is nowhere near as cool.
