iLive ICR6806DT

The iLive ICR6806DT is a horribly named new iPod alarm clock/speaker system. It can be set to wake you up using the music on your iPod, or via a more pedestrian alarm like the built in radio. As you can see it also includes a remote so you can pump up the jams from across the room (if that room is located somewhere in the late 90's that is; I'm so out of touch with the kids).
$99.99 gets you an ICR6806DT in your choice of black or white, that is compatible with all models of iPod (including the shuffle).

Hey, at least it's cheaper than choosing a name and registering a trademark.

The name isn't the only thing that's horrible, the remote is hideous, and the overall design, well, all I can say is, meh

What I wanna know is:
How does this thing allow you to control the volume of the alarm?
I have an iHome ipod clock radio. It has a so-called "gradual volume increase" feature. Problem is, it goes from barely audible to screamin' loud in 4 seconds.
Gradual my A$$!

What I'd like to know, Scott, is whether this is simply a regurgitated press release, or whether you actually got your hands on this product. From the language you used, one has to assume it's the former, but I thought I'd ask.

Splashman, if it isn't labeled as a review chances are I haven't used it (at least when hardware is involved). They didn't send us a press release, though, so I'm not sure what I regurgitated here.
