Macworld San Francisco in two expo halls

Chalk this one up to the Mac's growing popularity. Typically the Macworld San Fransisco expo is held in the Moscone center's South wing, which is just large enough to fit all the exhibitors. Not anymore, says Chris Saribay, who discovered that for MWSF 2007, IDG will actually be utilizing both Moscone South and, for the first time in years, North. According to Chris: "Apparently the main exhibit hall is already nearly filled to capacity, making sense to bring another exhibit hall online."
Is this Good or Bad? Well, let's see:
Upside: More Mac users
Downside: More Mac users (you know what I mean)
Upside: More Mac products
Downside: More substandard Mac products
Upside: More press coverage for the platform
Downside: More work to do Macworld week
Upside: More free swag from the booths
Upsides win!

"Downside: More Mac users (you know what I mean)"
yep. more strokers coming up to my booth who already know everything, and more people walking around on their bluetooth headsets saying "YEAH, I'M AT MACWORLD. IT'S PRETTY COOL. WHAT'S THAT? NO I CAN'T, I'M AT MACWORLD. BLAH BLAH STEVE JOBS BLAH BLAH."
and +1 on the hopeful lack of iPod accessory dominance. would be great to never see a feather-laden purse with a pouch for an ipod, thereby granting the need for its own booth.
*vomit*
Downside: More free (useless) swag to fill up my closet!

Not as much swag as the old days - everyone is cutting back.
SF also ruined the fun by making sellers file for a license and pay sales tax ...
"Typically the Macworld San Fransisco expo is held in the Moscone center's South wing [...]"
You spelled San Francisco wrong.
Macworld SF has been in both halls for many years. It was only the last handful which were downsized to the South Hall. And for good reason, the North Hall had shrunk down to a depressing wasteland of open space. Let's hope, now that it's back in both, the North end has enough happening to make it worthwhile.
