You may remember Lineform as the winner in the student category of the Apple Design Awards, but now it is now a part of Freeverse's software catalog. $79.99 gets your version 1.2 of Lineform which is a Universal Binary (which Freeverse told me would launch in a second on a MacBook Pro, and they were right).$79.99 for an Illustrator alternative that is Universal? Not too shabby at all.

It is an Apple Design Award in the Student Category... not a Student Award... That may sound unimportant, but it's like an emmy or oscar, no one cares about the category, just that you have one.

For me, they still are way behind Intaglio, specially as concerns the capacity of reediting vectorial pdfs or importing any other vectorial graphic format, including some as old as MacDraw...

It's very cute but that much money for so little in function? Any of you checked out the open source Inkscape? Windows, Mac and Linux with, for me, enough features to ditch Illustrator. If the GIMP got it's act together like Inkscape Adobe would loose customers!
