Movie links appear on German QuickTime page
The evidence continues to mount. Several eagle-eyed readers have spotted the images and links depicted at right on the Quicktime page of Apple's website for Germany. Of course, the links aren't working for me right now (clicking them just brings up the "It's Showtime" message), but they do begin with the familiar "phobos.apple.com..." address. Some of you have argued that these are for soundtracks, but the title of the column is "iTunes Videos." I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. If you're in a country that has not yet had television and/or videos in iTunes and you find such a link on your respective country's Apple site, please let us know!

They are on the Canada page, and clicking on the "iTunes Videos" section yields a 404 error on this page: http://phobos.apple.com/showtime/showtime.html

wOOt!
The Portuguese Apple Site (or better, Apple IMC Portugal) has the same, and we never saw music videos in our iTMS. We only had music and that thing never existed .
I think is true!
Well, the 'more...' link below that section is still to music videos, but if you look at the link to Transporter 2:
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/inboundRedirect?omni-ch=Store+Front&omni-pg=Movie+Trailers&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.apple.com%2Fmoviesxml%2Fh%2Findex.xml
You can see "Movie+Trailer". Ok, nothing new there, but if you look into http://www.apple.com/moviesxml/h/index.xml, that's the content page that iTunes will render into a nice ITMS interface, that shows "New Movie Trailers" and "DVD Movie Trailers" sections.
Some countries have had this for a while. The UK hasn't, but would they really call the section "DVD" movie trailers if they were going to offer a download option? Surely it would be "iTunes Movie Trailers" or something.
Not now it isn't (showing in the USA page)

September 12 2006 at 10:49 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThey are trailers, because you can see "World of Warcraft" and "Enigmo 2", which are both video games, and those are the trailers for them.

Unless Apple is redefining the movie cover format I don't believe we are seeing actual feature length films there.
