Video review of iPod games
I'm quite interested in the new games that are available for the iPod (and kicking myself for selling my 5G iPod a couple of months ago).We wrote up our own "first impressions" post earlier, and now there's a video mini-review available at Netscape by our very own (well, formerly) C.K. Sample. They really look good. The intro to MahJong, for example, was much more than I was expecting. Check it out.

Thanks for the review, CK.
A quick question... no update to the iPod 5G firmware is needed to play games, correct? mine still shows 1.1.2 and the new 5G iPods released yesterday are 1.2.
Right now, Pac Man is tempting me, but if they do a Yahtzee, I am so there and can dump my Nokia N-Gage QD that I use to play Yahtzee on now.

Wow... Netscape, huh, Netscape, I thought they fell off the face of the earth 6 years ago?

Why the shaky-cam footage? Do the games not play through the video output? I'd love a little plug-and-play Tetris on my bigscreen from the iPod.

You do need to update your software to play the games, but iTunes will lead you through that. No big deal.

yes they do-actually, they made me authorize my computer again XP. luckily, iTunes realized that my computer was already authorized, and didn't count it as two machienes. still...

I spent $30 on the games yesterday right after watching the keynote. They were the first items I ever purchase throught the ITMS, err...ITS, and it went surprisingly well. Kinda batter drainers though, well..on full brightness. Anyway, the games are addicting and make waiting for the professor to get to class much less boring.
