TUAW Tip: Initiate Bluetooth File Exchange with a keyboard shortcut
I love keyboard shortcuts and I know an awful lot of them but this is one that I either never knew or once knew but quickly forgot. Incredibly handy!
Thanks, Andrew!

It's actually a shortcut for a service called "Send File to Bluetooth Device..." There are a bunch more interesting shortcuts hiding in the Services menu, inside of pretty much every application menu.

A little off topic but I wondered whether anybody else is a bit frustrated with the time-delay from ordering their new iPod Shuffle and the 'shipping' date.
I know they said available October, but mine says shipping 31st October and I ordered the little blighter the morning after it was annouced! Anybody know whether this date might be brought forward at all, or is everybody in the same boat?
I thought maybe TUAW would do a post on this since normally I find Apple's new products are available pretty much 'shipping 24hr' like, say, the iPod Nano was.

I love quick-keys, unfortunately our internal systems are run on filemaker, and command-shift-b is the command for BOLD (since command-b does "something else". Unfortunately, this means when I get my programs confused, I end up opening the bluetooth setup when I really would rather have bold... :(

Not necessarily. I hit Cmd-Shift-B and Fugu opened up with a Secure Copy window!

There are many keyboard shortcuts in applications, but what makes this one more ... important is that it's a Finder shortcut. And another practical use of this shortcut could be to send any PDF or .jpeg on your desktop to your bluetooth enabled printer! enjoy :-)

Can we say SAWEET shortcut? I'm not much for'em, but this one I can actually use (and keep my BT icon hidden from the top taskbar now).

I've been using this for years, i'm always making stupid movies and stuff for my phone and this is ideal for just quickly zapping things over.
It's also cool to show off the Mac too, it seems you have to go through hoops to send a file through BT on a PC, so when you show them that pressing a couple of keys does the trick on the Mac they love it.

The link in my comment is to the download page for Nicholas Jitkoff's 'Service Manager' PreferencePane. It was really handy for turning off that annoying Cmd-Shift-B shortcut that would always launch Bluetooth File Sharing instead of bolding my text. Hope it helps.
