Wanna blog for TUAW?
It is that time again, we are looking for even more high quality bloggers (mostly to make up for the questionable quality of my posts). If you live, breathe, and eat Apple we want to hear from you.How do you apply? It is very simple. Send the following bits of information:
- A brief bio
- 3 samples of posts written in TUAW's style. One should be a review of something, another an opinion piece, and the third can be whatever strikes your fancy (existing blog posts cannot be used, this has to be new material)
- Your current Mac setup

So what kind of hours are required for this? Would a high school student be eligible age-wise, and if they would only be available on weekdays after 3:30 (and weekends, obviously), or would it require more of a time commitment? (or experience?)

Is this paid, like engadget, or voluntary?
My employment situation may allow me a unique perspective which might be valuable here. But in between taking part time courses, socialising and full time employment, what little time I have left is very precious.

What about those of us who don't currently own a Mac but will be switching? I really doubt it would happen, but it would be cool. Get a new perspective, maybe.
Hopefully you'll be asking for more bloggers in the future, when I actually own a Mac. *rolls eyes*

Are you kidding? Why would this be a requirement? The way I see it there are three options related to the reasons.
1. You are living in the present, with the latest-greatest and it helps to qualify you because you must be awesome.
2. You are living in the Iron age with a g3 or something, and unwilling to upgrade, thus making you a dinosaur.
3. You are living in the Stone age and running something like an Apple II (remember oregon trail on that thing! that was awesome). In which case you would be considered cool for your retro-feel.
and thus it would help to qualify you.

Can you post 3 new posts onto your blog, or do they have to be just in the body of the email?
In other words, you say they cannot be existing. Does that mean you can write them now and put them on a blog?

Yes, it is a paid gig.
I want to know about your current Mac setup to get a feel for you, and your relationship to your Mac (sorry people who don't own a Mac need not apply).
All three sample posts should be original, and not posted on a blog somewhere.
There is no due date. :)

Hey I applied last time, but I guess I wasn't enough of a Mac Snob to write for them. It's not enough to have technical background and a Mac; you need to be proficient in corny tag lines and smelling Jobs' bunghole whenever it even thinks about activity.
