Reminder: TUAW may want you!
Hey kids, don't forget that we are looking for a few good bloggers to join our happy TUAW team. Here are the directions one more time (and failure to follow them will result in us not reading your application and mocking you):- A brief bio
- 3 samples of posts written in TUAW's style. One should be a review of something, another an opinion piece, and the third can be whatever strikes your fancy (existing blog posts cannot be used, this has to be new material)
- Your current Mac setup
We'll be accepting applications until Tuesday, October 17th, so get crackin' already!

I visited a very interesting site, they have a vast collection of books which have been categories and are presented to viewers in an easy-to-search format. You should check it out.

Just a thought: An organization that prizes quality will attract quality applicants. I'm sure y'all can figure out the corollary.

I wasn't wondering why the comment got deleted; I was making the point that TUAW gives more attention to ridiculous comments like that one by deleting it and effectively ignoring the legitimate comments like mine. I wasn't condoning what was said. :-)
Are you sending confirmation emails that you have recieved our application? I'm just trying to make it sure it got to you guys.
Thanks
#14: The amount of time you put in is up to you. You can commit to a large or small number of posts, though there are also the 'other duties' to consider. Sifting through RSS headlines and submitted tips, policing comments, following up on past leads, etc.
Ultimately, the company is fairly flexible on what kind of a blogging beat you can score.
As to an age range and the like - I don't think there is one outside of the obvious law of whether one is allowed to work in their country of residence. Which brings me to another question: it doesn't matter what country you live in; we (and the rest of Weblogs, Inc.) proudly employ bloggers from all over the world. The more cultures and backgrounds - the better.
I think the main requirements are good writing skills, the ability to follow through on your commitment/duties and, of course, a solid knowledge of Apple, their software and the tech industry in general.
Also: as for wondering about why a call for someone getting fired got deleted: this isn't a 'vote a TUAW blogger off the island post' - we're still in negotiations with the networks on a Survivor: TUAW season (jk). It was a job offer post, and we like to try and keep our comment threads on topic.
Why do my legitimate questions get ignored while another person's request that Laurie be fired ASAP gets the attention of being deleted?
