37signals on Why Mac

37signals is the company that brought the world Ruby on Rails, Basecamp, and a raft of other Web 2.0 goodies. They did it all on Macs, and Apple has posted a video profiling them and their Mac usage. Check it out, and remember that Macs help you innovate.

Anyone know what keyboard was that? Looked like the Apple one, only slimmer and sexier

Yeah, that pretty much just inspired me to clean my office. Windows, Linux, Mac are all running nicely here ... I just need more inspiration from my work environs.
Okay, where's the Endust?

Anyone know what kind of keyboard the guy was using for his desktop Mac in that video?

I think that's Macally's ice keyboard:

I used for awhile at my old job - not bad, essentially a laptop keyboard that you plug into your desktop (or laptop)

Not sure where to report this stuff, but there is a new version of Mactracker out. We use it all the time in the store to check people's Macs' specs, and determine what kind of ram they take.

Superimposing their names over their crotches is a nice touch. Subtle.

Thanks for the link. I love the video. I especially love it coz I idolize these guys. We use their products a lot in the company I work for and I must say it's one of the better made web apps out in the market today. Paying for it doesn't seem to hurt as much as other software..
Ditto on the keyboard... I like it.

I neve paid too much attention to 37 signals. But now that I know they use Macs to design their stuff, I'll seriously consider their products. The Mac has been an insperation for me too. I wish my day job alowed me to use a Mac. I think I would be a much happier man. Thanks for the link to the video. This is one more piece of evidence that Macs can be used for a veriety of tasks and projects. Macs aren't only for teachers or graphic designers, they work great for accountants, layers and programmers.
