An iLamp to make Luxo Jr. proud
Joining a not-so-elite group of products that have figured out a way to cash in on iPodmania, the iLamp is a task light with an integrated iPod holding dock and built-in speakers. It comes in 6 different - and surprisingly attractive - styles, in a variety of colors, and can also accommodate all non-iPod music players that have a headphone jack. These illuminating beauties are due out in early November and have a price tag of $89, which isn't bad if the speaker quality is decent. Lamps that Rock? You betcha![via Gizmodo]

The idea is nice, but it would be nicer if the iPod holding dock will charge the iPod at the same time.(from what I read, it does not charge...)

As if the iPod craze hadn't already jumped the shark . . .

They already have these on display at my local Staples. They looked to be of cheap quality.

I already saw one of these. Not sure if it's this brand, but the Target in Lawrence, Kan., is selling one for $69 in the college dorm section. It's really attractive if that's a need of yours.

Not bad. Not bad at all. I don't know about the $89 though. Even with great speakers, I thinkt it's still a little expensive. But I would most likely buy one for myself. I hope they didn't use cheap plastic for this. A built-in charger would be nice too. Make it home for my iPOD :)
