2nd gen iPod Shuffle shipping
Apple announced the second gen iPod shuffle on September 12th during their 'Showtime' event and promised us it would ship in October. Well, October is almost over, but we have received some reader reports that their iPod shuffles have shipped, directly from the factory. Engadget readers report the same thing. This means that the iPod shuffles should be making their way to retailers by the end of this week.

Mine says it should ship tomorrow. Then again it's said that since Sept. 29th. I can wait : )

I preordered my new shuffle on Oct. 2 and the Apple Order Status page has said its Estimated Ship Date has been Oct. 31 since I made the order. I called Apple Customer Support today and was told that mine is in the first group to ship and should be sent in the next 24-48 hours.

I ordered mine on Sept. 14th, and I've been waiting for Halloween ever since! I got my order notification last night, a few minutes before midnight, so it actually shipped on the 30th. FedEx hasn't given me an estimated arrival date yet, though. I wonder how quickly you can get a package that weighs 0.3 kgs from SUZHOU, CHINA???
