The Instructions could have been a bit clearer on what to expect. My iMac made a loud beep that scared the bejesus out of me. I thought that I had somehow bricked my computer by just following the instructions. Other then that everything went smoothly. I also downloaded the x11 update so I guess I should try it out with Matlab.

Does anybody know if Apple is going to ever update the integrated graphics driver for the Mac Mini for bootcamp? I am getting horrible fps with DOD: Source. 8-10 FPS I'm talking here.

Had my speakers turned up loud from listening to music before the update, and that beep nearly gave me a heart attack. But other than that, everything went fine.

Just tried installing on my 2ghz Core Duo Macbook.
First time I must have screwed up, because I let go of the power button when it was blinking and OS X started up telling me to do it agian.
Second time kept holding it, and it got to the update where it randomly shut down.
Now when I start it up I held the power button down, it blinks, restarts, and its black...
Oops.

This update is apparently not required for the new (Core 2 Duo) MacBook Pros.

Apple released a firmware restoration CD with the updates. You can download it here: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/firmwarerestorationcd12.html
Just burn the disc and it should be able to recover your Mac.

My 1.83 MB core duo refuses to install the update. The updater launches, and when I click on shut down an error message pops up, saying the firmware update can not be installed. I ran software update 4 times and it downloads the firmware and updater over and over again - but with the same result.
