Justin Long not saying so long?
If Justin Long has been ditched from the Get a Mac campaign, no one told him. At the very least he's sticking around for Apple's holiday spots, According to his agent, David Guillod, who gave a statement to Radar, as well as Long's own website, as MacRumors points out. After that, your guess is as good as mine.On his fan site, Justin says (at the bottom of a long, rambling forum post with very little "white space," which makes me crazy!) the following about the reports of his Apple demise:
"as for the mac commercials, i don't know where that report came from that said i wasn't going to do anymore - i literally setting my alarm right now to wake up for a mac shoot tomorrow - if i'm not doing anymore i guess i can sleep in on my day off - that'd be nice. but yeah, we're doing some holiday spots now which i think will be pretty funny - not nearly funny enough to justifiy the money they're paying me though, i'll be honest with you. as for the future, i really don't know what i'm going to do - i'm surprised, frankly, that the campaign hasn't become tired and they've just ended it on their own - but i try to live as much in the present as i can considering the future doesn't exist, i'm not really sure. they're easy to do, i love john (the pc guy) and working with him is so effortless and fun that i definitely wouldn't rule out doing some more - and, as i said, they pay us nicely. i don't know - all of this is such unchartered territory for me that i'm just kind of holding on to my seat and hope i don't fall off anytime soon. "
Thanks for clearing that up, J-Long. I know we'll all sleep better now knowing that you'll be continuing to annoy us for at least one more month.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Hi Grover,
I wasn't saying my computer is the s**t... - I was speaking rhetorically. To let Mac heads know that I don't prattle on about my PC incessently which they seem to do all the time. I don't know any PC heads that bore me to death telling me how much they love their PC's.
Though I am happy with my PC if you must know...
Thanks
He actually sounds like a pretty decent guy. That's surprising, I haven't seen an actor that's not a complete prick in real life for a long time. His character may be annoying to some people but that's not something you blame on the actor. That's something you blame on the writers.

These commercials are so much more entertaining than Microsoft's latest "You can't be creative without us" campaign. I guess it just goes to show that if you look around enough you can find someone bitching about anything.

TUAW is rapidly becoming a joke of bad personalities making bad posts. Laurie, take some Midol before you post, and David, there is no helping you, you are just an ignorant moron.

"Maybe then you Mac fanatics (I mean fans) will stop telling everyone Macs are so friggin great - I don't tell you my PC is the s**t do I??"
Ummm...I know you're trolling and all, but isn't this exactly what you just did?
By the way - JoeBob maybe you should think about getting a new IT admin in your organisation if you are describing your company because it sounds like he's a dummy. Or those people that are using PC's or designing those networks you've described are dummies. Rocket science is not involved when securing windows...
November 14 2006 at 7:50 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyGet a life you geeks - iMacs and PC's are not people. I'm a Mac I'm hip and cool - yeah right, so why is it that most of the people that use Macs look like geeks or unabombers. I know I wouldn't want to buy a piece of hardware associated with that no talent loser. I can't believe there are 35 responses to an advertisment? - do you not have anything interesting to comment on like - how to topple Microsofts strangle hold on the computer market?
Get a life - and no I don't want to know that your Mac does everything including making you breakfast in the morning or looks ssooooo good. What are you a chick??
There is a reason the PC market share is so big.
Windows is so insecure nah nah nah....Windows is as secure as any other OS - its market share is much greater than OSX so more holes are going to be found -What do you expect??. I can't wait until OSX gets a bigger market share and numerous holes are pointed out - maybe then you'll all see the sun doesn't shine out of Apples ass, neither does it shine out of Microsoft's. Maybe then you Mac fanatics (I mean fans) will stop telling everyone Macs are so friggin great - I don't tell you my PC is the s**t do I??
I enjoyed the ads. My wife and most of our friends thought they were a hoot. But then again we've been enjoying our Macs while the PC's and networks shut down routinely for the problem of the month. And I agree that the bitchy attitude of the writer does not paint her in a positive light.
Justin's poor writing skills certainly don't leave a good impression either. His website is filled with his endless prattle. Jeez Justin...I liked you better before I tried reading what is going on in your head (or not going on).
you gotta love the photo...killer!
