Intel Xserves shipping
We mentioned before that the new Intel Xserves were shipping in mid-November. If you check you calendar you will notice that it pretty much is mid-November right now, and yes the Intel Xserves are shipping. The Apple Store reports that a base configuration Xserve will ship in 3 to 5 business days.
If anyone out there has ordered on of these babies feel free to take some unpacking pics and send 'em our way.

Better idea: how about no one takes any unpacking pictures, and no one anywhere on the internet ever posts unpacking pictures again.

We finally got our hands on the new Intel XServe and as we have done before we completely took it apart. Here are a few pics of the take apart. We will be adding more as the day goes on. It is a nice redesign. Do not let the outside fool you this is a completely new server.
