Apple's Black Friday sale

This Thursday is Thanksgiving here in the States and that means two things:

Posts to TUAW will slow down as we celebrate the holiday
Apple will have a big 'Black Friday' sale

Black Friday is the nickname given to the Friday after Thanksgiving when Americans shrug off the ill effects of consuming too much turkey and go on the hunt for great prices. Apple has setup a special website that lets you get the lowdown on the 'one-day shopping event' this Friday.

Apple will be offering free shipping from the online store, as well as special pricing and hours at their retail stores (plus they will match better prices).

I will still be in a turkey coma, but good luck to all you bargain hunters out there.

Awesome.

I used a company discount on 2 iMacs last year and got $100 off each through the Black Friday discounts. So tempting....

Well Jeff, as an exemple last year I saved 50$ (CA) on an Airport Extreme and JBL Creatures speakers. I was not shopping for a computer at the time but there were interesting discounts on them too...

What kind of deals do they usually have? I know I may have visited the online store on Black Friday in previous years but can't for the life of me remember how good the discounts were. Since I'm looking into a MacBook Pro for the holidays, I'm wondering if there will be any discounts offered on it...
