We blogged about a possible update to Griffin's iCurve in October, but now it looks official. The Elevator seems to be the iCurve's less curvy replacement. It does the same thing, that is lift up your laptop and make it even with an external display, but it does it with a new style. The Elevator costs $39.99 and it appears to be available now.
Thanks, David.

Agreed. Not nearly as nice as the iCurve. My first thought was that it was for the new Macbooks, to match them or something... but their photo on their website shows an old Powerbook on the stand. I just sold my iCurve for $60 on eBay. :)

A few stacked DVD cases will do the same thing albeit not as "stylish"

Despite the Microsoft inspired name, I picked up two of these and like them better than the Icurve or elevator:

I found these for about $20 apiece at Best Buy.

Joshua and Matt:
Both those products defeat the main purpose of the iCurve/Elevator: raise the laptop while allowing air to circulate and keep it cool.
While the iCurve (and now Elevator) support notebooks with two prong-ish things, both the Loft and Redmond Monitor Stand hold things up with a simple flat piece of plastic. No airflow for you! (Which is fine for monitors or PC notebooks, but when you have one of the portable space-heater-like MacBooks or MBPs, you kinda want the ventilation).
I actually enjoy the more industrial, less curve-y replacement.
