Apple updates Apple ID site, finally allows editing
Apple has updated their My Info site to allow more Apple ID editing goodness. It's been a while since I've taken a crack at changing any of this information, but last I remember, it wasn't possible to change the actual email correspondence address of one's Apple ID. The My Info site offers a slim, effective UI for adjusting your contact and shipping info, as well as setting your Apple communication preferences (do you want email/mail/phone calls, etc.). Too bad there isn't a new option called "alert me the next time you're about to rev one of your products 15 days after I buy the old 'n busted model."Thanks Brandon M

I'm fairly sure this site is several months old. I know when I wanted to make sure email from Apple was being directed to the right place 3 or 4 months ago I logged in to this site.
It certainly would be nice to be able to change my ID away from my (non-existent) .mac email address...
you can change both your emaill, as well as your username. You just have to put an email address as your user name. As far as it breaking purchases everything seems to be fine. I found that I was able to change my username in iPhoto when buying a poster and I went to the website to see if it went through. I was able to purchase the poster no problem after changing my email and username. And the confirmation email for the poster came to the new email address. Thanks Steve.

"If you would rather not be contacted through any of the following methods, please uncheck the appropriate box below."
How about just saying "Please check the boxes below that you DON"T want Apple to use to contact you"
Does anyone know if other things get broken if you change your info, such as the iTMS purchased songs. Just wondering because I don't want to change anything if it does.

It's too bad they won't let you change your ID, though, as I no longer have a .Mac account.
Wow, and just when I got a new e-mail address and was wondering about this!
