Sketch Yourself with iPhoto and PhotoBooth
Planet Crimson has a nice how to up reminding us about iPhoto's built-in PhotoBooth effects. The article shows you how to create a sketch-like rendering of your photos by combining filters such as "Colored Pencil" and "Fade Color". The "Sharpen" slider enhances and defines the "pencil" strokes.
Yes, you can do this in Photoshop and yes, it's not ground breaking new image processing research but it's nice to be reminded once in a while about a feature you may have forgotten or overlooked.

take your iSight, get something sharp and hard, scratch it up a bit, then take pictures, post them all over your favorite website.
That will be so much more original then the standard effects that come with it.
Now if only iMovie had a feature to make my video clips resemble the A-Ha video for "Take On Me"...

Those are great for designers, but with each mac sold to a former Windows user that only surfed the web, designers are going to become a smaller and smaller percentage of total mac users.
I use extra programs for the graphics on my site, but they're Intaglio and EazyDraw and other Mac programs that are far less expensive than the Adobe's.
