The 22nd Annual Macworld Eddy winners
Every year our friends at Macworld (the magazine, not the Expo) survey the landscape of products that were released during the course of the year, and to a select few award an Eddy. This year there is a fine crop of 29 winners, from YouTube to the Nike + iPod Sports Kit.Check out the full list of winners to see who won, and why they won. I see a few favorites of my own from this year on the list:

I was pleased to see the 24-inch iMac there--I fell in love as soon as I read the specs, and even more when I saw it in the store. It's my next Mac! Also happy to see VisualHub 1.1 on there.
What would I add? How about the iPod nano 2G? It's the return of the iPod mini, in new svelte form, and the colors that put Apple in touch with the general public (black & white can be so elitist). Plus 24 hours of battery life? Less likely to get scratched? 8G available in black AND now red? WOW. How did this not make the list?
The app I've been most impressed with, over the course of the past year, is DVDPedia from Bruji. It had many significant improvements this year (new capabilities added almost monthly), and is, without a doubt, the most fun non-Apple app I use regularly.
Personally i think that the guy behind USB Overdirve (Alessandro Levi Montalcini) deserves a round of applause for the app he made so long ago, and continues to support. This little program allows you to use virtually ANY USB keyboard, mouse, gamepad, trackball, or joystick, whether it has that Mac support logo on the box or not. You can rest assured, use it for all the geeky things you wanted to do with it. And as much as i love Apple, the macbooks had a surprisingly high defect rate from what i recall... =S
