When bad things happen to good Mighty Mice

Benjamin Fourmond, a fearless modder describes converting his eBay Mighty Mouse into a more vintage look on his website. He opened up his mouse, extracted the inner electronics and, with a few modifications to the vintage housing, managed to insert it into an old ADB style mouse. Fortunately for his sake, the internal electronic boards were approximately the same size, although he did need to drill into the housing to allow access to the new scroll ball. In the end, with the help of an ADB to USB connector, he made the Frankenmouse work.

I wasn't happy with my mighty mouse - but it didn't bother me too much.

Until I was playing a game and realized I couldn't click both buttons at the same time..

Why would you need an ADB to USB connector?? If he replaced the boards, there's no ADB anymore, and presumably he would have taken the USB cable from the Mighty Mouse anyway. Me no understand.

That would assume that the Mighty Mouse was good in the first place. One of the only Apple products I regret purchasing is my wireless Mighty Mouse. Accurate right or left click...yeah right...whatever you say. I can just imagine if I had sausage fingers I would be middle clicking all day long.

Jobs, stop being a pretentious jackass and give me a true two button mouse.

Because it's cool obviously. that ol' classic mouse is still my fav apple rodent ever to hold anyways, if i could have it wireless and optical (without modding myself, i'm lame like that) i'd probably get one immediately.
