A blender + an iPod = great entertainment
It appears as though groups like SmashMyiPod just got one-upped by the likes of the Will it Blend crew. I've never seen these guys before, but they sure do seem to have a love for blending modern trinkets and technology. Their latest victim was an iPod, and boy did this bring new meaning to the phrase 'from dust to dust.' Will it Blend is actually a company that seems to be using these 'don't try this at home' videos as a not-so-viral (since they're up front about who's behind them) marketing stunt to sell their blenders, but who cares? That 4th gen iPod gets sliced and diced in less than three seconds!

Frankly, I think this kind of thing is sickening.
Next time you watch a video like this, just realise for one moment that the cost of that iPod, if donated to charity, could have saved a couple of (children's) lives.
Put all Zunes in that thing and make us laugh out loud !! not an old and broke iPod

It's silly, since they obviously wouldn't have distributed it had this happened, but I really expected that blender to explode and take at least his hand with it. For those who don't know, lithium ion batteries go all fourth of July when the oxygen molecule is separated from the lithium, allowing them a chance to ignite with each other, and metal blades ripping apart a metal iPod casing seemed like more than enough friction to provide the spark.

December 18 2006 at 7:22 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMr Lizard, I'm with you. I cut my MacBook up with a clever, abd it just doesn't work anymore, I am reduced to checking my email wih the SE/30.

I think it's about time everyone got together and launched a class action law-suit. How Apple think they can get away with producing such low quality crap is beyond me.
Watching these blenders go is like seeing a special effect in real life. Awesome!
It's too bad 1) they are so expensive, and 2) I really don't blend much.
You, David Chartier, are no Apple Fanboy. What would put most fans in a fetal position weeping for our beloved gadget made of plastic and metal, you heartfully cheer on. You are tougher than me, Sir.
