On TextMate extras
Another powerful resource is the TextMate wiki, which houses a plethora of learning tools and resources such as a bundle repository if you're looking for some features or a language not included by default, as well as an RSS feed for bundle changes. Of course, what text app would be complete without user submitted themes? Last on my resource roundup (but by no means the end of what's available) are a few TextMate plugins, including a WebMate plugin that turns TM's Web Preview into a full-fledged WYSIWYG HTML editor based on WebKit.
There's a lot more from where all this came from, so dive in or simply get your feet wet with this swiss army knife of text editors.

Since the link in the GMane article was broken in half, here's the full link to the WP Theme bundle:

Thanks David! I use Textmate for web production at work and home and while I consider myself a power user, this app has grown up so fast it is easy to lose track of new features/functionality. Now I know where to go to keep up with the news.

Not trolling, I'm really curious: what do people like about TextMate? A longtime user of BBEdit at work (I mostly do HTML/PHP work) I was really happy when BareBones made TextWrangler free. My favorite essential features: good syntax coloring (completely missing in the BBEdit Lite) and SFTP support. A big feature of Text Mate seems to be code folding, but I had that in HomeSite years ago and never used it. (I *occasionally* wish I had it, but like anything else you don't have, you elarn to do without.) When I have a very good free product, a non-free product has to be REALLY compelling* for me to buy it.
* like, how much better Transmit is than CyberDuck--for ages I just thought, "it's a damn FTP program, it *should* be free, how great can it be?" Well, I finally tried Transmit, and it blows CyberDuck out of the water--much smoother & faster with less failed transfers.
