Apple named 'Marketer of the Year'
Love 'em or hate 'em everyone agrees that Apple can market itself well. The Queen of England has an iPod and yet they are still cool. That, my friends, takes talent. MediaPost has awarded Apple their 'Marketer of the Year' award not only for their success with the iPod, but in large part thanks to the 'Get a Mac' ad campaign.MediaPost points out that instead of projecting the image that Macs are for everyone Apple continues to sell the idea that Macs are for an 'elite few,' even though Apple is now selling more Macs than ever.

I have switched from PC to MAC and I personally hated and still hate the 'get a mac' campaign commercials. I think they promote the mac to be only used to people to take pictures and listen to itunes. Although I love mac now and will never go back to PC, I personally like the HP commercials better than the get a mac campaign.

The Queen is kinda cool, it's the rest of the clan that's out to lunch.

The Queen is a nice old gal but she's pretty far from cool; sort of like a warm blanket or a cup of tea.
I kind of like the Mac (not MAC) adds though I know they do rub some the wrong way. Still, they sure seem to work. I suppose the old adage about pleasing some of the people some of the time might apply in this case.
