The Year in Mac Development - Scott Stevenson

Scott Stevenson of Cocoa Dev Central has an extensive (i.e. long and interesting) post on the year in Macintosh development. He discusses a variety of hot topics including the transition to Intel, the controversy over Macheist, the apparent deprecation of the Human Interface Guidelines, and much else to boot. With the installed base of Macs going up and exciting new technologies coming out of Cupertino I think his conclusion is basically right when he says that there's "never been a better time to make Mac software." I'm looking forward to seeing what the great Mac devs out there come up with in 2007 (Incidentally, Stevenson's blog Theocacao looks great).

Tip of the Day

To get an instant map to any address, just go to your Address Book and right click on the address field of any one of your contacts and select "Map Of." The address will then be revealed in Google Maps on Safari. You can do the same if a data detector determines there is an address in an e-mail in Mail.
