Apple updates OS X Downloads page design

Apple has refreshed the look of the OS X Downloads page. It is a much cleaner design, and highlights a number of RSS feeds (Top 20, Just Added, and Staff Picks). Listed on the right side of the page are the Top Widgets, and the top iTunes + iPod downloads.
Do we see shades of a possible new UI in Leopard? Only time will tell.
Thanks, Nik.

It's too clean. It looks ugly now. Movie Trailers shouldn't be there.

It's pretty obvious, they're redesigning it so it can work with the iPhone well, and they'll have a separate downloads page for it.

It's ugly. I mean, Microsoft ugly. What typeface is "Mac OS X Downloads" in? Helvetica? Is that Wordart?!
In case you didn't notice, there's a whackload of applications removed from the list also.
So this is now things work? Drop the "computer" from your name, suddenly you can go about producing sub-par websites like everyone else?
And I agree with Sun Chiu. Enough with the movies/trailers/tv/podcasts, Apple. Last time I checked, under my 10.4.8 Apple menu it says "Mac OS X Software..." not "Stuff that works on your Mac or any other device capable of playing a MP4 video..."

There aren't any applications missing, but thanks for proving you've never visited the site before.

I noticed they also added icons or small screenshots to their RSS feeds. I posted some more about it in my blog:
