XtremeMac announces Luna, iPod alarm clock

XtremeMac has also announced a new iPod alarm clock called Luna here at Macworld. The four knob on the top of the unit control an on screen menu system that lets you choose songs, set alarms, and control the radio station. The Luna can also serve as a dock for your iPod.
The Luna ships in February $149.95.

Yeah, I've actually had one sitting in my bedside table for the last couple of nites. According to the review on iLounge, even though it's readily available now, XtremeMac is planning on very shortly releasing a revision that should improve FM reception and may or may not drop AM reception entirely, so that may be what is shipping in February.
In the meantime, I'm incredibly happy with my Luna. It's really an astonishingly well thought out device, leagues ahead of its competitors in terms of feature set and ease of use. I'm not an audiophile so I can't comment on sound quality, but I'm incredibly picky about clock radios, and this is the best I've ever had.

i've been eyeing the ipod alarms for a while, but don't like the fact that none of them will fit my 60gb ipod when it's in it's case. it went in as soon as i got it, and don't like taking it in and out all the time.
things are looking like i'll be getting a nano to have as a beater ipod for running and docking.

They chose the same name as a Windows XP UI Theme for an iPod-dockable gadget?
Weird. You'd think there'd be plenty of other names to use ;)
